together with the UBC Faculty of Applied Science and the
First Nations House of Learning are hosting a workshop on Aboriginal Water Health.
The objectives of this event are to discuss issues pertaining to water quality and
health in Indigenous Communities, and to explore strategies to align university
research with the needs of the communities and build on the foundation for
community-based participatory research.
Participants include senior community leaders, water operators, scientists and
students who will discuss and tackle current challenges in synchronizing governance
and technologies with communities’ health and water situations.
