Helen Burt

Dr Helen Burt began her term as Associate Vice President Research & International at UBC in 2011. Dr. Burt plays a leading role in building UBC's research capacity and competitiveness, both in Canada and internationally. She is a key leader and decision maker in UBC's research infrastructure. She is the Angiotech Professor of Drug Delivery in the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and her major research efforts involve the development of polymer-based drug delivery systems for controlled and localized drug delivery. She has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers and 8 patents.
